I think it would greatly benefit the site to have a unique species (with or without an origin story). It would set us apart from other adoptables sites if we have something that is born entirely from the imagination of the staff.

I agree, that'd be so cool, but I also believe it should be more of the artists choice to do this or not. I'm sure people could help if the artists are full with projects, I could even help writing.
Maybe the species wouldn't always be available for adoption too, making them extra special! Maybe only on holidays, or a once a week thing.

What do you mean by this? We should have a species all our own ^^ it could be anything we want, but it would be our signature thing. I also really like gizmonic's idea that it could be a species that only appear on holidays or special events. |

Hmm you can definitely do something with the "heart" part of the title. Perhaps have a gem shaped like a heart embedded in the chest of a species? There could be a cool reason for the gem. For example... The heart shaped gem is the life source of all the creatures of Everheart. It contains the soul and memories of a creature. When a creature passes, it's gem shatters and it's soul and memories combine with Everheart. Everheart is the deity of this land. He/she watches over the land and the creatures on it, making sure all have a happy and fulfilling life. ^ Just an idea from the top of my head Everheart could be the mascot? |

Everheart could be a graceful bird, I was thinking, with a heart-shaped gem on her chest! I like it, is any artist willing to draw that? As for the unique species, I think we could have a few. The lion with feathers for a mane and perhaps some form of dragon? I like dragons. ^.^ |

Ah I wish I was good at art, but sadly I couldn't draw even if my life depended on it. I can't wait to see what the site artists come up with! As for dragons, there could be different types like wyverns, drakes, and wyrms.
